Making Tax Digital April 2026

The current self assessment tax filing system is being phased out from April 2026 and eventually all individuals and businesses will have to file tax returns every 3 months, instead of annually,  plus one annual tax report, using software like QuickBooks or Xero to store their income and expenses before your accountant checks and processes everything and uploads onto the HMRC system.

If your sales are over £50,000 during tax year 2024/25 you must register for Making Tax Digital and begin filing the new way from April 2026.

(April 2027 if your sales were over £30,000 and April 2028 for sales over £20,000)

We can help you prepare for this and can do everything for you, giving you total peace of mind. We do not charge you for setting up or training you on any software you need for Making Tax Digital. We can provide a full and complete accounting service.
